When I read a story I am able to visualize what I am reading through the characters emotions in the story. For example, when I read new kid, I pictured a child facial expression full of anxiety at a new school where he is totally lost and nervous. When I read a story it is like a movie in my mind so it is easier for me to see. When reading a book, I can hear it with a lot of enthusiasm in the character voice. I think this comes natural for me because I am the type of reader that look for anything that triggers excitement within a book. I also picture the characters according to the type of book that I am reading. For example, when I read new kid, I was able to visualize a little boy with a very anxious and concerned expression on his face. The things that I think about when I picture the characters is what type of mood they will be in at the end of the story. I say this because stories can appear sad in the beginning but have a very happy ending when the characters has adjusted to their new lifestyle such as the child in the story new kid. I respond to difficulty and confusion by continuing to read because having excellent reading comprehension is so important. You cannot pause and stop reading each moment you may not understand something within a story. The feelings that are generated when I read is happiness because when I read a good story I actually began to feel that I am a part of the story. Sometimes when I read a story it reminds me of a text from another story that has similarities to it.
