Blog post #8 Chapter 11

 Reading into memory was a interesting topic in the book because thinking about my life and experiences is the main thing that made me interested in writing. When I think about things that happened in my life, it was either a blessing or a lesson. Experience is the best teacher so writing about what certain experiences has taught me is very exciting. You may think that the experiences in your life may be boring but others may find it interesting when you write about it. The key is finding the right experiences in your life to write about that you feel can teach others.

Another topic in the book I chose to discuss is thinking toward writing. When you are at the coffee shop grabbing coffee, that is a good time to meditate and think about what has happened in your life that's considered a teachable moment. When you are relaxing on your spare time at different places it is a perfect opportunity to make mental notes on what you would love to write about. When you never put in time to think about what would you like to write about it will make writing appear complicated. Brainstorming is very essential when it comes to productive writing. Writing is as interesting as you make it.

 I basically have a habit of keeping my Bomer book or other essential books in my backpack since I am taking courses that are very busy on blackboard. This keeps me from running back to my apartment for my book when I have an assignment that is due. I also keeps these books in the outer section of my backpack so I do not have to dig around in my backpack for it. My reading appointments with books are usually in the late evenings since this is the time of day that I am the most relaxed and less busy. This is also the time I read any type of books. blog #7 Slice of life

 Sometimes I have no idea what to write about. Once I find a topic that interest me, I am as focused as a rat trying to get to a piece of cheese. Finding the three main points to list in my introduction can appear as challenging as putting together a puzzle. Once I brainstorm and get my thoughts and ideas together. it feels as if I can write blind folded. When I get stuck in the middle of my writing, three minute meditation is always the key to me refreshing my memory on things I already know. If my writing can make the audience feel like they are a part of my story, I am confident I have done my job as a writer.

one word

 The one word that I picked for the semester is integrity. I chose integrity because strong moral principles and honesty is something that will carry you a long way in this world regardless of the career path you decide to take. Integrity is related to literacy in the secondary schools because it is essential for students to behave ethically and do the right thing even when others are doing the wrong thing. I am going to keep this word in my mind this semester because I am passionate about living according to my deepest values by being honest regardless of who I am around. My goal is to be considered for essential promotions and leadership positions so integrity is a great factor when it comes to encountering these wonderful type of opportunities.
